How to enjoy vermouth - The Basics

On its own

Vermont Vermouth is delicious on its own.  Try it lightly chilled or on the rocks as a pre-dinner apéritif.

Pair vermouth with cheese, fruit, and nuts for a wonderful appetizer.

With seltzer and a twist

A classic European way to enjoy vermouth is over ice with a splash of seltzer and a lemon or orange twist.  It makes a wonderful low alcohol cocktail for a relaxing afternoon.

In a cocktail

Vermouth is a primary ingredient in many classic cocktails, including the martini, the manhattan, and the negroni.  See some of our favorite cocktail suggestions below.

In cooking

Vermouth is wonderful as a deglazing liquid or as a component in sauces, stews, and braises.  It brings the brightness and acidity of wine along with the complexity of the infused herbs and spices.  See some of our recipe suggestions below.
